A Microsoft tenant gives organizations and businesses a secure and isolated environment to centrally manage all cloud services, user accounts, and organizational settings.

When a company subscribes to Microsoft services, it is provisioned with a tenant that serves as its dedicated environment. Each tenant has a unique identifier - the tenant ID - that distinguishes it from other organizations using the same Microsoft services.

What is a Microsoft tenant ID?

A Microsoft tenant ID is a globally unique identifier (GUID) assigned to your organization's Microsoft 365 or Azure tenant. It is used to identify your specific tenant within Microsoft's infrastructure and is required for various administrative and developer tasks, such as configuring single sign-on (SSO) or API integrations.

You can find your tenant ID in the Azure portal or Microsoft Entra admin center under your organization's properties.
