“Before, we were spending too much time chasing responses and coordinating reviews. Now the process is much more automated and easier to oversee. We reduced the time spent on access reviews by 70%. We also appreciated how clear and easy the platform is, and we identified storage optimization by 25% with no impact on users.”

    Challenges

As the Microsoft 365 environment expanded, governance processes that had previously been manageable became increasingly time-consuming. The IT team relied on a mix of native Microsoft capabilities and internally managed scripts, but these approaches became harder to sustain at scale.

    Time-consuming access reviews

One of the most demanding recurring tasks was the access review process. It required coordination between IT and business stakeholders to review access, validate permissions, and confirm responsibilities across collaboration spaces. While workable at a smaller scale, the process required significant manual effort and follow-up.

    Limited visibility across the tenant

The team also needed better visibility into key governance areas such as workspace ownership, inactive accounts with assigned licenses, and overall resource usage. Without centralized reporting, it was difficult to maintain a clear and up-to-date picture of the environment.

    A need for scalable governance

With continued business growth, Transavia France wanted a governance approach that would be more structured, more automated, and easier to operate over time.

“We realized we needed to simplify and optimize the way we were managing these processes.”

    Solution

Syskit Point was recommended as a way to address access review automation while also improving visibility across the Microsoft 365 environment. After evaluating the available options, Transavia France selected Syskit Point as the solution that best matched its needs.

Fast adoption and ease of use

The team found the implementation process straightforward, with a quick connection to the tenant and an interface that was easy to understand and use. For a lean IT team, ease of adoption was an important factor.

“What we really liked was the user experience. When you are working on governance, clarity matters. For us, it was easy to understand and use.”

    Automating access reviews

Access reviews that had previously required manual coordination are now handled in a more structured and automated way. The process gives the business greater involvement in validating access while allowing IT to oversee outcomes more efficiently.

“Before, we were spending a lot of time following up with people and coordinating reviews. Now the process is much more streamlined, and we mainly monitor the results.”

    Better license visibility

Syskit Point also helped the team improve visibility into license allocation and usage. This made it easier to identify accounts that required follow-up and support a more disciplined approach to license management

    Improved ownership visibility

The platform provided clearer insight into SharePoint ownership, helping the team identify areas where governance responsibilities needed to be clarified. This created a stronger foundation for ongoing governance.

    Storage optimization opportunities

By reviewing file versioning and storage usage, Transavia France also identified opportunities to reduce unnecessary storage consumption without disrupting users.

“We discovered that versioning settings were generating more storage usage than expected. By cleaning that up, we were able to recover a significant amount of storage with no impact on users.”
