The Power Platform ecosystem connects to numerous data sources via Microsoft Dataverse and offers integration with Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Azure, and other services. It promotes a collaborative, agile approach to app development, process automation, and data insights, making it a valuable tool for digital transformation in organizations.

Power Platform components

The Power Platform consists of four core components:

  1. Power Apps: Gives users the useful ability to create custom applications tailored to business needs, with capabilities for both canvas and model-driven app designs.
  2. Power Automate: Allows users to automate repetitive tasks and business processes through workflows that integrate across Microsoft services and external platforms.
  3. Power BI: Gives users the tools needed to create interactive data visualizations and reports, empowering users to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  4. Copilot Studio: – (formerly Power Virtual Agents) provides tools for customizing or building copilot, or AI-powered chatbot, experiences – without needing to code.
