Microsoft Power Platform in Numbers
Table of contents
The 2024 Power Platform Community Conference in Las Vegas was the largest gathering of Power Platform professionals in the world, with over 6,000 attendees! While the keynote made many announcements about new and upcoming features, Microsoft also shared the latest Power Platform usage numbers from across the globe.
I know that as an MVP, I often include numbers when I present at a conference or to a client. Since I didn’t see those numbers posted elsewhere, I decided to create a beautiful infographic to share all the latest numbers with you.
Hopefully, it helps. Of course, do not hesitate to share it on social media and with your colleagues!

Power Platform in numbers
Interesting notes
While the numbers are, of course, fun to look at, it’s also important to look at how those numbers change over time. Compared with the Power Platform Conference 2023, we can see that in one year, the Power Platform grew from 33 million monthly active users to now over 48 million, so quite the growth.
The Power Platform Community also grew to 5.8 million monthly active users in 2024, up from 5.2 million in 2023.
On the Power BI side, we know that in 2021, it had 250,000 organizations, while in 2024, it now has 375,000, so quite the growth as well. As an interesting fact, in both 2021 and 2024, the same number of Fortune 500 companies (97%) were using Power BI, but while there is no growth, I do understand it’s tough to grow when you are so close to 100%
On the Copilot side, it’s great to see that the number of organizations using Copilot has grown from 63,000 in July 2023 to 480,000 in September 2024, which is quite the growth.
Finally, it’s great to see that Microsoft, third-party vendors, and the community are increasing the number of connectors available. In May 2023, Microsoft celebrated 1,000 certified connectors, and we will be at 1,400 in 2024.
Unfortunately, Microsoft did not share app-specific numbers for Power Automate and Power Apps Monthly Active users, but we will keep our eyes open if they share anything new.
Enjoy the infographic, and don’t forget to share it with your network and colleagues who might find those numbers interesting.
