The Company: The Chase School

the-chase-school-logoThe Chase School also referred to as The Chase Technology College and The Chase High School, is a secondary school for pupils aged from 11 to 18 in Malvern, Worcestershire, England. It was opened by Lord Cobham on 26 March 1955 and became an academy in 2011. Today, it is the largest school in Worcestershire having over 1,700 students and around 150 members of staff. The school’s motto is: “The Chase School – A school of excellence”.

The Challenge: Monitoring the workstation activity of students and staff

The Chase School is a secondary school with a large number of users accessing its infrastructure every day. The infrastructure consists of approximately 600 workstations across the entire site. One-third of them are thin clients and the rest are workstations running on Windows 7. The system is fully virtualized and user oriented.

Neil Cheshire

“This should be a part of Citrix. I wouldn’t consider not using it when running a Citrix platform. It is a must-have product.”

– Neil Cheshire, IT Systems Manager, The Chase School

The Chase School had difficulties with monitoring the activity on the school’s system after the working hours. There is always going to be somebody who will try to hack the system and misbehave. SysKit Monitor helped with monitoring of the school’s Citrix platform and its workstations.
